Short biographical notes (300 words) Born and graduated in Turin, Italy, Dr. Brayda-Bruno is an orthopaedic surgeon, and since 25 years he is fulltime working with paediatric and adult spinal deformity patients and then with degenerative spine, spinal tumor and trauma cases. In 1999 he moved to Milan, Italy, where he is actually Director of Spine Surgery III – Scoliosis Dept. in IRCCS GALEAZZI Orthopaedic Institute and Professor-at-large in Spinal Surgery at Milano-Bicocca University.
He was faculty member in the first CD courses since 1990, and then member of GICD, and now of IGASS into the Board of Directors. Consultant and visiting professor in European and South-American universities and hospitals, he has participated as faculty to hundreds of International and National spine meetings.
He is member of Italian Spine Society-GIS since I988, active international fellow of SRS since 1996, and member of SSE – Spine Society of Europe since 2000, where he was member of different Committees and last year was appointed as Chairman of Educational Committee of SSE to implement the European Spine Specialist Diploma as well as Local Host for the last edition of the Eurospine Congress that was held in Milan in October 2011.
